The first SafePASS review meeting was held on 27th of April 2021, virtually due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the cascading effects of travel cancelling.
The project coordinator (ICCS) provided a thorough presentation of the overall progress of the project. The WP leaders presented in detail the work done so far, demonstrating results, facts and achievements as these have occurred during the first 18 months lifetime.
Mr. Lazaros Karagiannidis from ICCS gave an overview presentation also of Task 2.1 regarding ship evacuation current practices and regulations, gaps and needs, where SEAbility is the Task leader.
The EU was represented by the SafePASS Project Officer, Ms. Anna KARAMIGKOU and one reviewer, Mr. Vittorio Bucci, who is an Assistant Professor, Researcher of Ship Structures and Marine Engineering at the University of Trieste. His current research interests include ship design and integration and the development of early-stage ship design tools to assess new technologies for sustainable navigation.
The concluding output was related to the satisfactory progress of SafePASS team and the anticipation of the upcoming activities.
